Twitter adding Location Tracking by acquisition Mixer Labs

Twitter present location tracking devices through its acquisition Mixer Labs. Micro blogging site is reportedly just bought a company called Mixer Labs technology to deliver new services in the form of tracking the location of tweeting. With this feature, Twitter users can find out where their friends via Twitter posted tweet. Such information is quoted from Cellular-news, Friday (25/12/2009).

Mixer Labs was founded by two former Google employees. They work together to develop a tracking tool called GeoAPI location.


Twitter CEO Evan Williams thinks will be helpful GeoAPI Twitter users by showing the origin place of the people who share with their tweet. Until now, Twitter is used approximately 58 million people around the world to share the message 140 characters long.
